Recap (29 March 2024)

Our journey has come to an end! From 21 - 28 March we participated in the 31st Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. We are beyond grateful for this amazing experience.

Starting out, we could not have guessed how much we would learn, how many new friends we would meet and how we would grow as a team.

After much writing, pleading, and pre-mooting, we were overjoyed to see our efforts rewarded in Vienna. We earned two honourable mentions, for both, Memorandum for Claimant, and Memorandum for Respondent!

For this incredible time and for making this journey possible we especially want to thank our sponsors Bär & Karrer, Pestalozzi Attorneys at Law, Lenz & Staehelin, CMS Switzerland, Wenger Vieli, Niederer Kraft Frey, VISCHER, MLL Legal, LALIVE, Homburger, BIANCHISCHWALD LLC, Walder Wyss Ltd., Kellerhals Carrard, Schellenberg Wittmer, Prager Dreifuss AG, AGON PARTNERS, White & Case LLP, and HSG Alumni | Universität St.Gallen. Without your continued support, we would not have been able to achieve these results

As a team of only three mooties we are also particularly aware of how precious our coaching was. A big thank you to Nadine Boss, Cédric Schad, Tanja Wohlgemuth, Marco Stacher, and Jurij Santschi! Your support during this time was amazing and this success would not have been possible without you!

We are also very grateful for the support of our HSG Vis Moot Family, who supported us during the written and the oral phase! Thank you Sara Fischer, Manuel Constam, Filippo Filippo Börner, Damian Wyss, Dominik Kasra Hofstetter, Jens Neese, Fabio von May, Linus Zweifel, Avijit Singh, Milivoje Mitrovic, David Wohlgemuth, Nick Mezger, Chiara Bolter, Céline Deborah Kellmann, Dimitry Bölsterli, Rachel Pawlik, and Valentine Daendliker.

We are looking forward to our future Moot experiences and to seeing all the friends we made along the way again very soon. It was a pleasure and an honour to represent our University during this journey.
